Our district was formed on March 29, 1980. Before this time the local municipal office handled all building requirements with the assistance from provincial inspectors.
Just to give you an idea of our growning communities, in 2007 we approved 376 permits and in 2008 we approved 555. This was for Commercial and Residential structures.
